The Regency One of the many keys to the Regency's success is its strategically designed shaped door with an ultra low entry threshold as the schematic drawing on page 15 of our Brochure will show. It allows you to easily step in and out of the bath. Simply sit down, close the door and when you are safely seated fill the bath to your desired level. Fill it to just above the ankles for that soothing foot massage, above the knees to ease the joints or to the top and ENJOY. The Regency range has a Stainless Steel Frame, a foot operated Pop up Waste, so you do not have Bend down to insert the plug.Have a look at the 3 – Step Process below to ascertain which side you require the door. STEP 1) MEASURE THE LENGTH AND WIDTH OF YOUR EXISTING BATH : Your new Walk In Bath will usually take the place of this existing bath. Note if there are any windows directly above any part of the bath. If so, measure the distance from the floor of the bath to the BOTTOM of the window. Write down all measurements. STEP 2) MEASURE THE WIDTH OF EACH DOOR Measure each door and any other possible obstructions such as the hallway leading hallway leading to the bathroom where it will be installed. Write down only the width of each one that is 26” or less. Any regular door width of 26” or more is usually sufficient to allow any of our Walk In Bath entry into your bathroom. (Note: For certain bath models, this may require a temporary door assembly removal and replacement of your 26” doors).
Note: Common door widths are usually 26”, 28”, 30”, 32” or 36” They may ultimately measure up to ½ inch shy of any of these measurements.
If you have a 24” door width, by removing the door assembly you can get ALL of our models through that opening. Additionally, you may choose to widen the 24" door to a 28" door, or wider, if it is feasible. This may also bring your door width up to current building codes and allow clearance for any walkers or wheelchairs. Widening a 24" door to a larger door can allow EVERY model in our line of Walk In Baths to fit through your doorway. STEP 3) DETERMINE WHICH DRAWING BELOW BEST DESCRIBES THE CONFIGURATION OF YOUR BATHROOM. Directly below Step 3 are some common configurations of existing baths in relationship to the placement of the commode (or sink). Simply determine which of the 8 bathroom drawings below best describes the configuration of your bathroom, and write down that number. The reasons to include this step is that you need to determine whether you require a LEFT mounted door or a RIGHT mounted door on the face of the bath. It is ALWAYS best to put the bath's door where you have the most space available for easiest entry and exit into and out of the bath. By selecting the correct configuration of your existing bathroom below, we can provide you with the door correctly mounted (LEFT or RIGHT) specifically for you. |
