The Legacy Max mattress and air system offers the best therapy for the prevention od pressure sores, as well as helping with good skin care, good posture and pain relief.

The air cell mattress swells and deflates on an alternating cycle. This type of system is recognised as one of the best therapies for the prevention of pressure ulcers.

The therapy is by the rotation and variation of pressure throughout the mattress which reduces the time spent with pressure on any one part of the body through prolonged vascular compression.

This compression or pressure on the body can cause bed sores and ulcers for anyone bedridden for long periods of time.

• Autofirm system - this is a safety feature to prevent the static mode being left on by accident. The static mode has a maximum duration of 30 minutes (used whilst treating or moving the person) and then reverts back to the alternating cycle that has been set.
